Capability Statement
TRL’s driving simulator is a virtual validation space to test or manipulate factors that affect the performance of the driver, the road environment, driver satisfaction and vehicle technology. DigiCar is a Peugeot 3008 straight off the forecourt with fully operational controls. MiniDigiSim is our portable driving simulator, fully compatible with the main driving simulator. DigiTruck is our portable HGV driving simulator.
Capability – Systems
TRL’s new test centre is in the heart of London at the Smart Mobility Living Lab. It is not a closed laboratory, it is the streets of the city, with additional infrastructure to capture and measure the performance of the people and the vehicles moving around it.

The driving simulator is a cost-effective testing facility designed to help customers achieve their aims of maximising network performance and customer satisfaction in a safe and controlled environment. The driving simulator enables innovation-led technology companies, research institutions, marketing agencies and other organisations to investigate driver distraction and impairment factors. The driving simulator enables solutions to be validated in highly realistic scenarios.
