Technology Centre of international scope which offers holistic solutions to companies related to polymers and composites: research projects, technological services, competitive intelligence and training. AIMPLAS has over 25 years of experience supporting companies from its market, including raw materials producers, manufacturers and final users. We develop R&D projects for the railway sector, including technological development as well as management, related to polymers and composites, manufacturing processes and final product.

Pilot plant facilities for R&D of manufacturing processes related to the railway industry: Liquid Composite Moulding (RTM, VARTM); Pultrusion; Prepregs compression; Polyurethane foaming; Non-conventional curing of thermoset resins (IR, UV, MW); Flame retardancy of polymeric matrices; Dispersion of nanomaterials; Biocomposites development; Recycling. Testing laboratories for chemical and mechanical properties: Chemical testing of thermoplastic and thermoset matrices; Mechanical testing of composites. Environment and Safety: Assessment of recyclability and reuse of waste materials; New technologies and processes in regards to safety at work. Training: AIMPLAS has a complete training offer specialized in the industry of polymers and composites.
