Wireless Communications Research Group

The Wireless Communications Group are responsible for improving wireless communications through the development of novel antenna designs and radio-frequency devices.
We provide communication solutions to a wide range of industries including space, defence, wireless infrastructure, mobile communications and built and natural environments.
Previous developments include circularly polarised antennas for handsets, reconfigurable antennas, wearable technology embedded into defence uniforms, textile connectors, novel metamaterials for base station antennas and 3D-printed lenses.
