Capability Statement
TÜV SÜD acquired the IWT4 Instrumented Wheelset Technology business from SNC-Lavalin (formerly Interfleet Technology) in early 2019. TÜV SÜD’s Stockholm facility (Sweden) is supplemented by railway test centres in Halle and Görlitz (Germany). TÜV SÜD is a one-stop-shop for independent assessment, testing and approval of railway vehicles. Görlitz has testing facilities with an area of about 30,000m² and about 3km track length, for speeds of about 60 km/h. Halle/Salle is the location for on track tests like running dynamics and strength.
