Engineering Modelling and Simulation Group (EMS)
Engineering Modelling and Simulation Group (EMS)
EMS conduct research in three interconnected areas – (i) Flow structure, heat transfer and energy for simulating high-speed rail aerodynamics, structure and vibration/control, (ii) Electrical system control and optimisation, here developing simple efficient generic solutions for complex problems, (iii) Engineering system control and optimisation which can be applied in multiple setting beyond engineering.
Aerodynamics; fluid mechanics; materials; electrical systems; engineering systems and processes
Fluid dynamics; finite element analysis; electrical control and operations; process modelling and simulation
