Capability Statement

“For test and examination routines in the laboratory and on track, we can not only simulate common measured quantities such as air and surface temperatures, relative humidity, differential pressures and air speed, but also latent and sensitive loads using individuals as well as record all measured quantities that are relevant in an A/C or climate-controlled context. We can realise the following test conditions: – Temperature range in test chamber from -20°C to +45°C – Snow and icing systems – Controlled moistening of the chamber air at temperatures in excess of +10°C – Location and time-based consistency of testing conditions in accordance with the relevant standards – Size of the test chamber up to 75 m x 5 m x 5 m (L x W x H) Mobile measurements during active operation: – Measurement of the process variables pertaining to heating, ventilation, A/C and pressure protection equipment – Trial testing with high-speed trains for measuring, verifying and assessing pressure comfort levels as well as CO₂ enrichment – Trial testing for verifying air quality and thermal comfort levels – Long-term data recording (e.g. operating conditions, fault/disturbance response and energy consumption) using data loggers and remote querying Use: – Function tests for components (e.g. doors, couplings, brakes) – Air conditioning type tests for railway vehicles – Energy consumption investigations: analysis and evaluation of environmental control systems (air conditioning systems) – Optimisation of thermal comfort – Thermography analyses – Analyses of components used in climate control and air conditioning systems – Determination of the k-value of vehicles ​ Testing conditions: -Temperature range in test chamber from -20°C to +45°C – Snow and icing systems – Controlled moistening of the chamber air at temperatures in excess of +10°C – Location and time-based consistency of testing conditions in accordance with the relevant standards – Size of the test chamber up to 75 m x 5 m x 5 m (L x W x H) .
