Telent operates two large system integration test laboratories (a total of 20,000sq.ft) that provide comprehensive facilities for design and integration engineering of communication/data systems with a particular focus on proving systems and products for operation in the UK rail and Metro environment. The London test laboratory is dedicated to rail/metro station based system technologies which include full station communication system models containing examples of all currently deployed supplier equipments PA/VA, CCTV, PHP, Station Control Systems and IP LAN/WAN networks. In addition to this R&D and system proving activities are supported for the following technologies: – Track to Train OPO CCTV systems technology trialling. – SCADA systems – IP Camera research, performance specification and product certification, – Development of acoustics measurement techniques – Station Management control systems – End-to-end asset life-cycle processes – Remote Condition Monitoring solutions for a wide range of assets with a particular focus on deriving meaningful data from legacy assets The facilities are available to infrastructure owners, TOC’s, FOC’s, equipment and system OEMs who wish to undertake system/product proving trials to demonstrate satisfactory performance in the rail/metro environment.
