Electromagnetic Compatibility means the ability of equipment to function satisfactorily in its electromagnetic environment without introducing intolerable electromagnetic disturbances to other equipment in that environment. Following the Directive 2004/108/EC, standards have been developed to create a guidance related to electromagnetic compatibility in railway environments.
Signal analysers; Loop antennas: Magnetic field measurement (9 KHz – 30 MHz); Biconical antennas: Electric field measurement (30 MHz – 300 MHz); Log periodic antennas: Electric field measurement (300 MHz – 6 GHz); Equipments for spectral analysis of narrow band signal; Measuring equipment of current and voltage; Uninterruptible power supply; Surge protective appliances; Electric generator; Emission tests consist of radiated emissions measurements of the whole railway system in the frequency range of 9 KHz to 1 GHz
Assessment of Electromagnetic Compatibility between electronic devices that are part of the railway system from emission tests.; Verification of compliance with the UNE-EN 50121-2.;Emission of the whole railway system to the outside world.
